HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer – A Closer

Not all multifunctional printers are good and it is not safe to jump to conclusion by seeing only the All-in-One feature on the ads. A lot of printers are there which are not truly multifunctional and some of them are not even competent enough to do the basic printing with quality as well! But that is not the case with the new HP Deskjet 3050 as this multifunctional printer is a reasonable and cost-effective solution for any home or corporate user. Be it printing, scanning or copying – this All-in-One unit can do it all without going through any known issues. The first thing about this multifunctional unit is that it is extremely cheap – which means any low-budget office/home user can go for the Deskjet 3050. However, unlike many cheap similar products this model does not suffer from quality compromised outputs and especially the printouts are sharp enough to read comfortably. It can also work as a copier and a scanner and both of these things it does seamlessly. The scanner can scan pages with 1200 dpi resolution which is enough for producing high quality scans. 

However, the printouts may look a bit dimmer if an generic ink is used instead of the original cartridges but nevertheless the quality is above average and most of the users will be pretty satisfied with the printouts of this printer when using the generic ink. Plus the copies come out almost exactly as it was in the original so no worries there. About the connectivity, unlike the other cheap All-in-One printers the Deskjet 3050 comes with a built-in wireless printing technology which makes it easier to use it without hooking it up to a certain computer or a certain place. This feature makes it pretty handy for small office works where everyone may need to use one printer. USB connectivity is also there and it is easy to sync with both Windows and Mac. 

But it is not so easy to use when it comes to copying. It can only handle 10 copies at a time so that makes it rather limited. The printer also gets jammed sometimes if too many pages are inserted on the tray at a time so that is one huge bump on this unit. It needs to be monitored while copying and printing so it makes this machine rather unsuitable for large companies where large volume of works are done. However, the smaller companies can go for this printer if a continuous copier/printing supervisor is appointed for constant services and this is especially suitable for home use where you don’t need to use it under pressure. So all things considered, the HP Deskjet 3050 is a nice All-in-One printer especially for home users for its cheap price and multifunctional outputs. However, if anyone wants to save further then s/he is welcome to try out a generic ink instead of the original one for better cost-efficiency.
