Epson - L200 All-In-One inkjet Printer
The Epson L200 is an all-in-one inkjet printer is designed
to handle the high end printing jobs at a very economical price. This inkjet
printer using the generic ink prints smartly and saves by using the original
ink tank system, ideal for the different uses at office and home. The machine
is just right for the large printing jobs with the add-on of scanning and
copying.These were the world’s first printers to use high-capacity ink tanks (70 ml for each color) instead of ink cartridges. With a yield of up to 4,000 prints in monochrome, the L200 achieved the low running costs required for emerging markets while maintaining the high print quality made possible by Epson’s Micro Piezo technology.
The Epson L200 printer has the advantages of being attached to detachable ink tanks. The use of detachable generic ink cartridges with the special design helps to minimize the print head clogging and works in away to control airflow and minimize the wastage of ink from evaporation. The presence of four buttons on the control panel are the Power on/off, Cancel button that also double sup as a clean button for the print head when pressed for 3 seconds and two buttons for the color and monochrome prints. The presence of the choke valves in the printer is another important factor that ensures the stop of back flow of any ink while the printer is transported hence saving on the valuable ink. The ink comes in special containers to store and is available in high capacity tanks for bulk use.
The Epson fast ink top-up tanks is custom built and fit inside the printer chassis and is easy to detach too. The printer measures 508 X304 X151 mm and weighs 4.3 k, making it easy to be transportable and portable as well. The input tray has a capacity of 100 A4 pages while the output tray can handle 50 sheets.
This Epson has a speed of 27 pages per minute (PPM) for monochrome prints and 15 PPM for the color prints. The time needed for a 4 X 6 inch photo draft is 66 seconds and using the variable droplet technology the Epson L200 can print with maximum resolution of 5760 X 1440 dpi. The flatbed scanner, under the lid uses the flatbed contact image sensor (CIS) technology. The optical scan resolution of this printer is 600 X 1200 dpi with color depth of 48 / 24 bit for color and 24 bit /16 bit for monochrome scans. The scanning speed of this printer is 5 milli seconds and copying speed of 1.5 copies per minute for color copies and 5.4 for monochrome copies. The machine is capable of making 20 copies in a single copy operation.
This printer is very economical and has a maximum power consumption of 12 W in the active mode and 3.5 W in the standby mode. The printer is compatible and supports the Windows and Mac operating systems and is easily connected to the PC or laptops via the USB 2.0. A very economical printer to say the least.
